Ecowitt WS90SDI Wired Sensor Array with SDI-12 Interface

The 7-in-1 outdoor sensor array (WS90SDI) is designed as a hard wired sensor using a SDI-12 interface. Not suitable for use with gateways or display consoles.

The outdoor sensor also measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. It requires mounting on the top of a 1 inch pole to ensure accurate readings and is hardwired using the SDI-12 interface cable for data collection.

• Temperature compensation design (US Patent No.12,181,491B2) reduces thermal interference from sunlight or ice heater 
• Fully electronic, no-moving-parts design for long-term durability
• Hardware Wiring:
  • Red — VCC, DC 6V-12V
  • Black — GND power supply
  • Green — SDI-12 IO
  • White — Vacant

The WN90SDI includes a built-in thermostat that controls the internal heating plate:

Automatically turns ON when the ambient temperature falls below 0°C (32°F)
Automatically turns OFF when the plate temperature rises above 10°C (50°F)
To activate the heating element (for snow or ice melting), a 12V / 1A power supply must be provided. 

Important: Potential ice crystal formation at temperatures below 0° C/ 32 °F can affect the wind reading accuracy. Running the heater can avoid this effect
